Founding engineer designing, developing and releasing products for tech enthusiasts and consumers.

Ciudad de México, México

Background

I am a Mechanical Engineer with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. I have always been curious and passionate about technology; I would easily describe myself as a consumer tech enthusiast. As I like to tell my friends, my dream home would be filled with obnoxious one-use wonder appliances and gadgets.

My journey across tech and gadgets has followed me for as long as I remember, but working with a professional design team in an engineering office really ignited a fire in me. It pushed me to work hard and innovate in my surroundings. It showed me that design is present in most aspects of our personal lives, from how we choose to arrange the items in our bedroom and what to put up on our walls, to when we choose to wake up and go to sleep. Design in our surroundings becomes a lifestyle when given the right amount of love.

Product development shouldn’t be something gatekept by professionals with access to millions of dollars of equipment. The more time passes, the more people realize that this doesn’t have to be the case; in some sense, 3D printers gave hobbyists a glimpse into advanced additive manufacturing that only engineers had access to. What has not caught up is the design side, the automation of the physical, low-critical-thinking tasks that surround the making. That is the gap Botany Brands exists to close.

So I am building tools for people, people who want to design and make a better world for themselves and others. I am currently working on some projects solo but would love to collaborate with anyone who is willing to work with me. I’m not focused on the money or profits of a project as long as it is interesting and important enough. Please feel free to reach out for any reason, and we can chat.
